Dual award winner Sioned Williams, 22, from Ruthin Wales, was presented with the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society (RWAS) Harper Cymry Student Award and the Spearhead Prize when she graduated from Harper Adams University in late September.
Sioned said: “I am delighted to have been selected as the Harper Cymry Student of the Year. There were some great candidates and after a tough application and interview process I would like to thank both judges Carwyn Rees and Hefin Richards for presenting me with the award.
"Winning the award represents the best four years of my life spent at Harper Adams University, and I am very grateful and honoured to be presented with this title.’’
Sioned completed the BSc (Hons) Business Management with Marketing course and while at Harper Adams University she has represented the University at events in Wales and University Open Days.
She has also been a member of a member of the Harper Adams hockey society, and secretary of the Harper Cymru student society.
The second award Sioned received was the Spearhead Prize for achieving the highest mark on the module: Management Consultancy.
The 22-year-old along with another team member completed a consultancy a report of an extremely high calibre.
Senior lecturer, Tony Asson said: “The report was described by one of the clients as a “real page turner” their confident and professional presentation stood up to some intense questioning.”
Her placement year was spent at CF Fertilisers in Chester, where she returns after graduating as a commercial graduate trainee.
